Singapore: Ravi Menon On The Rise To Premiership?
Singapore: Ravi Menon On The Rise To Premiership?
It has become very obvious that recently Mr Ravi Menon has become curiously very active in areas of national and political interests not under his purview as Chief of the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).
Previous Chiefs of the MAS have never involve themselves on issues not under their purview because the words of the Chief of MAS carries weight and influence in the financial sector, not only in Singapore but the world as well. That's why they only confined themselves to speaking on financial matters that will influence Singaporeans.
By openly speaking on matters not under the purview of the MAS, he could have intentionally overstepped and undermined the role and responsibility of the Office of The Prime Minister and those of The Cabinet. Yet the PMO and the Cabinet have not said a single word in response. This is very strange to say the least.
This is not only very strange and unnecessary, but has also aroused curious suspicions.
Where is he coming from?
Where is he going?
Could he have a hidden ambition and intention to become the next Prime Minister of Singapore?
On the surface, it may look like he is saying things for the good of our country. Examine in depth, from different perspectives, his speeches and writings have far reaching implications and ramifications that may affect our racial harmony, political stability and national security in the long run.
In addition and most importantly, we must remember that MAS is one of our most vitally significant and strategically important organisations in our country. We must therefore not be lured and lulled into carelessness and complacency by not paying full attention to the actions and activities of its top management and top executives.
In view of the hot pro-India CECA issues in our midst, this is one very clever Singaporean of India origin that we must all watch very closely and very carefully for our own good and for the good of our future generations.
Accepting foreign talents into our country to help grow our economy is one thing, but carelessly setting the foundation for seemingly or potentially pro-foreign elements to take control of our vital institutions and our destiny is totally another.
Think strategically.
